Nicolandreas Stud

Nicolandreas Stud was established in 2008.  Jan Engelbrecht saw his first Percheron during a school visit to the Pretoria Zoo in 1986. Jan said to himself, he would love to own and breed one day his own Percherons.  As the saying goes, the rest is history.

The Nicolandreas prefix became recognised in 2009 when he was voted up as a Council member and in 2010 became the youngest President of the Percheron Society of South Africa. Although the stud faced many challenges, Jan’s love for the heavy draught breeds is prominent. He is currently the president of the Percheron and Draught Horse Societies in South Africa.

Nicolandreas Stud breeds high-quality Percherons and Clydesdales.  Jan uses the best genetic stock available. His breeding stallion, Nicolandreas Caroi is by Elsenburg Marinus out of  his French imported mare, Beaute de le Noe (Pictured here).
